First Review

Here's a review from freelance writer, Juilliard grad, music educator, Bill Storandt.

"When an artist finds his voice, you know it instantly. Goosebumps. In Donuts in Parking Lots, the first album recorded by Divecaster, Jack Stanton has found his. I first met Jack when he loped into my pop-music theory class at UVM. He was smart, funny, driven. We became friends, and I watched his music quest thru the years; always striving, seeking, diving. And now this extraordinary record. From the first sinuous, horn-inflected grooves of Hummingbird, you realize he’s found a way to stream his personal vibe. Worth the wait in gold! In Their New Love, I hear AL Jarreau and Phoebe Snow handing off to Jack. In What You Do, he walks right out on a limb and risks being happy, unironic. This is an album for grown-ups by a mature songwriter. Pour your favorite beverage, sit back and enjoy a lush soundscape, while your head bobs to a flurry of rhythm hooks. Well Done!" – Bill Storandt

Site Launch

After a good bit of digital wrangling, I seem to have more or less roped the steer and got myself a site. I hope you enjoy it as it evolves.
